A Spanish redo of Yash Raj Films' (YRF) Bollywood offering Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl is underway, an authority proclamation from the Indian motion picture studio affirmed Friday.
YRF wrapped everything up with Colombia's 64-A Films to redo the Aditya Chopra-handled and Maneesh Sharma-coordinated film, which stars Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma.
"This is positively way breaking for YRF as a studio, as well as for the Indian film industry on the loose, as it clears the way for all the more such open doors for everybody. We anticipate Ricky getting up to his traps in Latin America now," Avtar Panesar, VP – International Operations, YRF, said in an announcement.
The arrangement was shut in Cannes and Diego Ramirez of 64-A Films communicated his fervor at tying up with YRF on a first of its caring change of a Bollywood film.
"I think the character of Ricky Bahl is the genuine possession of this film and we anticipate adjusting this for Colombian and Spanish gatherings of people all over.
"Starting now we are looking to film this in four Colombian urban communities of Cali, Medellin, Bogota and Cartagena for the sun and sunny shores there – there is a probability to go crosswise over Latin America once the last script is bolted," Ramirez said.
The Bollywood adaptation of the motion picture, around a conman, was a hit.
