The Bombay High Court today dismissed by four weeks a request recorded by artist Ankit Tiwari, looking for suppress of an instance of assault against him.
The request came up for hearing before a seat of judges Ranjit More and Anuja Prabudessai which conceded it with shared assent of the candidate's legal advisor and the indictment. Tiwari, who sang the well known number Sun Raha Hai Na in the Hindi film Aashiqui 2, was captured by the Versova police in May a year ago after a lady documented an assault grumbling against him, after which the artist recorded a request through his supporter Ashok Saraogi, contending that he is being confined in a false case.
As per the complainant, he professedly assaulted her few times between October 2012 and December 2013 in the wake of guaranteeing to wed her. He broke his guarantee later, she said. The artist has fought that he has been surrounded and, henceforth the assault protest ought to be subdued.
